Immune-mediated Inflammatory Diseases (IMIDs) are a group of diseases involving inappropriate or excessive immune responses caused or accompanied by cytokine dysregulation and acute or chronic inflammation. This includes a wide variety of illness, such as autoimmune diseases, infection, and inflammation-related cancer.
We are interested in the following research projects.
(1) Identify new signaling proteins regulating integrin“inside-out”signaling pathway for T cell adhesion and migration.
(2) Identify new signaling molecules in macrophages that mediate inflammation, anti-viral response and phagocytosis?of bacteria.
(3) The physiological and pathological relevance of T-cell and macrophage mediated inflammation in infection, cancer, autoimmune disease?or tissue repair.
